Public Services Delivery Specialist

As a Civil Engineer with our team, you will be responsible for delivering public services related to flood protection and managing government properties. You will work on initial hourly paid contract positions, which can transition into direct positions with the Public Body.
Key Responsibilities:
You will carry out various tasks including diversion of water mains, working adjacent to live services, installation of temporary works, contract lifts, river bank restoration works, landscaping of public green areas, reinstatement of temporary laydown and construction compounds, reinstatement of roads and footways, and construction of boundary walls and associated finishing works. Additionally, you will produce method statements and risk assessments, set out works, monitor and supervise civil engineering activities, manage subcontractors, and perform daily record keeping.
Requirements:
To be considered for this role, you must have at least 3 years' experience with a main contractor on the construction of civil engineering projects. A Level 8 degree in Civil Engineering, a current SafePass Card, and a valid driving license are essential requirements. It would be desirable if candidates had successfully completed courses such as IOSH Managing Safely in Construction or similar, and CITB Temporary Works Supervisor/co-ordinator training.
