Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Patient Accounts Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for administering patient accounts services in an efficient manner, providing an excellent service to patients, staff and students.

The role involves providing administrative duties within the Patient Accounts area, supporting the functions of the department. This includes generating and processing patient invoices and reminders, as well as dealing with patient telephones and responding to queries.

The ideal candidate will have excellent administrative and organizational skills, with experience in Microsoft Office and Outlook. They will also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to relate effectively with staff, students, patients and visitors at all levels.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide administration duties within the Patient Accounts area
  • Generate and process patient invoices and reminders
  • Deal with patient telephones and respond to queries
  • Process and administer post received
  • Provide support to the processing of health board referral and chairside billing
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Leaving Certificate or equivalent/ECDL
  • Minimum one year experience in an account setting role
  • Excellent administrative and organizational skills
  • Experience in Microsoft Office and Outlook
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
