Product Design and Development Engineer

About the Role

As a product design and development engineer, you will play a pivotal role in pioneering innovative product designs that meet evolving customer needs while adhering to sustainable practices.

This involves designing and developing cutting-edge products from concept to production, with a strong focus on sustainability and environmentally friendly practices.

  • Develop innovative product specifications that meet customer expectations by collaborating with the sales team and gathering insights and feedback.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and cost analyses to evaluate new product ideas, emphasizing sustainable materials and manufacturing processes.
  • Create detailed design documentation, including specifications, schematics, and prototypes that reflect a commitment to innovation and sustainability.
  • Test and evaluate prototypes, making necessary adjustments based on performance data and sales feedback, ensuring compliance with environmental standards.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • A bachelor's degree in product design, mechanical engineering, industrial design, or a related field.
  • At least 4-5 years of experience in product design and development, focusing on innovation and sustainable design solutions.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and other design tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a passion for eco-friendly design and customer needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively interacting with sales teams and management.
  • Knowledge of sustainable materials, manufacturing processes, and product testing methodologies.
