About the Job:

The Healthcare Businesswomen'S Association is looking for a Global Study Director Lead to join our global team in Dublin, Ireland.

This is an exciting opportunity to work as a key member of our clinical trials team, leading the cross-functional clinical trial team (CTT) and guiding planning and management of assigned clinical studies end-to-end.

You will be accountable for proactive, iterative operational planning with effective contingencies and an embedded risk management mindset in CTT.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in clinical research or drug development, with at least 7 years of recent experience in clinical activities in Phases I through IV studies of medium to high complexity.

A proven track record of leadership and people management, negotiation, and conflict resolution, strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills are essential for this role. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate across all levels, are also required.

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in life sciences/healthcare (or a clinically relevant degree).
  • At least 7 years of recent experience in clinical research or drug development spanning clinical activities in Phases I through IV studies of medium to high complexity.
  • At least 3-5 years of recent contribution to and accomplishment in all aspects of conducting clinical studies (e.g., planning, executing, reporting and publishing) of medium to high complexity in a global matrix environment within the pharmaceutical industry or a contract research organization.
  • At least 3 years of recent people management in a complex matrix environment.
  • Experience in managing people is strongly preferred.
