Job Summary

The Data Engineer will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of asset data, enabling efficient maintenance, operational decision-making, and regulatory compliance.

Main Responsibilities

  • Manage and optimize the CMMS to ensure accurate asset data, work order tracking, and maintenance records.
  • Develop and report on plant availability and reliability KPIs (MTBF, MTTR, downtime, asset criticality).
  • Maintain high data quality, including correct asset tagging, fault codes, and failure modes.
  • Produce asset performance dashboards and analyze maintenance trends to improve reliability.
  • Coordinate with teams and contractors to ensure timely completion and closure of work orders.
  • Support procurement and inventory management for critical spares.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement, predictive maintenance strategies, and regulatory compliance.

Necessary Skills and Qualifications

  • Degree or equivalent in Engineering, Maintenance Management, Data Analytics, or related technical field.
  • Hands-on experience with CMMS (e.g., Maximo, SAP PM, Infor EAM).
  • Strong knowledge of plant availability metrics and maintenance performance KPIs.
  • Competence in Excel, and preferably Power BI, for generating automated reports and dashboards.
