Production Specialist

This is a role in the production team where you will be responsible for performing various tasks to support manufacturing and ensuring a consistent supply of high-quality products. You will operate machinery, equipment or computer systems according to established procedures and guidelines.
Adhering to health and safety requirements is crucial to maintain a safe working environment. You will collaborate with supervisors, coworkers, cross-functional teams and other team members, communicate shift handovers and ensure issues are communicated and actioned appropriately.
You will follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and protocols to ensure consistency, quality and regulatory compliance. Identifying and troubleshooting issues or malfunctions, reporting them to relevant personnel is also part of this role.
Engaging in training and development to enhance knowledge of operating equipment and systems and contributing to training of new colleagues on manufacturing processes is also required.
Responsibilities:
- Operate machinery, equipment or computer systems according to established procedures and guidelines.
- Adhere to health and safety requirements to maintain a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with supervisors, coworkers, cross-functional teams and other team members; communicate shift handovers and ensure issues are communicated and actioned appropriately.
- Follow SOPs and protocols to ensure consistency, quality and regulatory compliance.
- Identify and troubleshoot issues or malfunctions and report them to the relevant personnel.
- Engage in training and development to enhance knowledge of operating equipment and systems.
Leaving certificate as a minimum or equivalent qualification is required. Pharmaceutical/biotech industry qualification is desirable. Flexibility, reliability and willingness to undertake various tasks, embrace change and provide coverage when required are essential skills.
Ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams and good communication skills are also necessary.
