Job Description

This role focuses on developing and educating nurses in transplant and urology services. The successful candidate will act as a resource facilitator, assisting individual nurses to reach their full potential.

The aim is to develop knowledge, interpretative and decision-making skills, technical skills, professional performance standards and interpersonal skills that enable nurses to provide safe and effective care.

To achieve this, the candidate will work alongside staff nurses, providing training and support in the use of equipment and technical procedures. They will design, implement and evaluate staff orientation, clinical induction and ongoing professional development programmes.

The candidate will also participate in the development and implementation of postgraduate Renal Nursing Programmes and Urology/Transplant modules. They will promote the review and development of evidence-based nursing practice, assist in the development and updating of relevant policies and protocols, and participate in Quality Improvement programmes.
