Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Energy Pricing Expert to join our team.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing electricity, gas, and heat tariffs for our customer base. This includes leading/supporting the production of residential electricity, gas, and heat prices and tariffs, conducting competitor analysis, and working with our hedging team to manage and report on price risk.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement electricity, gas, and heat tariffs for our customer base.
  • Lead/support the production of residential electricity, gas, and heat prices and tariffs.
  • Conduct competitor analysis and help us understand the market we operate in.
  • Work with our hedging team to manage and report on price risk.
  • Assist in the day-to-day trading activities of the company by training as a member of our trading team.
  • Work with management to produce board reports on our commercial activities and exposures.
  • Produce tools to help automate new or existing business processes.
  • Report activities or findings in a concise and transparent manner.
  • Assist in the provision of market insights to our customer base.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Prior experience in electricity pricing in the Irish retail market.
  • Ability to build up a 24hr residential tariff from first principles.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, analysis, and attention to detail.
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong data handling & programming skills, preferably with experience in tools such as Python, SQL, and Tableau.
  • Comfortable working with large amounts of data.
  • Clear, concise, and structured communication skills.
  • Ability to follow, map, and improve processes.
  • Adaptable, flexible, able to change priorities.
