Job Description

The Programme Manager role is pivotal in building and enhancing our Cyber Security posture. This involves delivering agreed projects/initiatives aligned with industry best practices.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Actively advance and improve our cyber security posture through the delivery of agreed projects/initiatives.
  • Ensure project deliverables are aligned with the Roadmap, addressing strategic objectives/maturity gaps/audit points.
  • Advise and lead on solutions with internal teams/out-sourced partners, including business case construction and contractual arrangements.
  • Implement a metric-based approach with a structure to enable auditing and managing vendor performance.
  • Coordinate resources, prepare delivery teams for kick-off, and ensure effective completion of milestones, controlling scope and mitigating risks.
  • Manage programme delivery from inception to service delivery, defining, developing, and managing implementation schedules.
  • Maintain a roadmap of future initiatives, facilitating prioritisation of delivery plans.
  • Ensure ongoing focus on delivering required quality/value for money and compliance with published standards and guidelines.
  • Coordinate cross-functional team members, identify resources needed, assign and prioritise tasks/responsibilities, and ensure deadlines are met.
  • Report and manage timely communication of programme statuses, attending programme boards and steering committees.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Essential: 8+ years' experience in traditional Waterfall and Agile delivery methodology and development methods.
  • Certified with appropriate qualifications is desirable.
  • Structured Project Management (Prince/PMP), Agile certification (Scrum/SaFe/AgilePM), Information Security/Data Protection certification.
  • Appropriate degree or equivalent qualification/experience.
