Job Summary

We are seeking a seasoned Cyber Security Senior Analyst to lead security operations response to incidents and support various security operational management systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver the team's programme of work and business targets by supporting the Enterprise Security team.
  • Optimise and facilitate event data collection, systems monitoring, threat detection, vulnerability management, perimeter defences, enterprise password management and network infrastructure management solutions.
  • Lead advanced analysis and remediation for escalated security incidents from a Tier 1 Security Operations Centre while engaging internal stakeholders and external security partners.
  • Automate security monitoring and incident response workflows.
  • Act as a technical escalation point and mentor for junior team members.
  • Develop and maintain operational procedures, driving improvements and automation where possible.
  • Assist with design and project delivery of new security and network security solutions.
  • Design and lead periodic cyber security tabletop simulation exercises in conjunction with operational teams.
Requirements
  • Qualification in a relevant technical discipline with typically 5 years' experience delivering or operating IT security solutions.
  • Background in IT infrastructure, IT operations, networks administration or cloud solutions an advantage, particularly in the energy sector.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and communications skills.
  • Understanding of the cyber threat landscape including analysis of multiple sources of intelligence and communication of results.
  • Technical knowledge of IT Infrastructure ideally including security appliances, intrusion prevention/detection systems, SIEM tools, vulnerability management tools, directory services, host-based security technologies, data networks and protocols.
  • Security or networks industry certification and familiarity with cyber security frameworks and standards an advantage.
