Job Opportunity:

The operational lead will oversee the management of a residential service for children. This role requires assurance to senior leadership regarding quality and safety standards.

This individual will work closely with senior leaders and clinicians to plan and implement effective delivery of services. The operational lead is responsible for day-to-day management, supporting clinical teams with necessary resources and support.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:
  • Ensure high-quality services are delivered based on associated regulations, national standards, and best practices.
  • E nsure adherence to organizational policies and ways of working at all times.
  • Drive key performance indicator targets and collaborate with teams to meet agreed objectives.
  • Optimize resource utilization through effective planning, regular monitoring, and as necessary, identify areas for improvement and develop implementation plans.
  • Complete quality assurance checklists and identify non-conformances and associated action plans.

Eligibility criteria include a minimum level 7 qualification in social care and a management qualification suitable for a health or social care setting, as well as four years' full-time work experience in a children's residential care setting post-qualification. Alternatively, the manager may hold a level 8 qualification in social care with three years' post-qualification work experience in a children's residential care setting.

Essential Requirements:
  • Garda vetting clearance is mandatory.
  • Three professional references are required.
  • A valid Irish/EU driving licence is essential.
  • Confidence, trustworthiness, respect, ability to interact and communicate at all levels, manage complex situations, and maintain focus on tasks and quality and safety standards.
  • Self-motivation, minimal supervision, good timekeeping, and knowledge of related legislation are desirable.
