Electronics Design Engineer Role

The Electronics Design Engineer will be responsible for leading the design and development of ICs, with a focus on RF/Microwave technology. This role requires expertise in Cadence, ADS/AWR, and RF concepts.

The ideal candidate will have experience in designing and laying out RF/Microwave ICs, as well as proficiency in EM simulation and RC extraction tools. They should also possess good planning and organisational skills, be deadline-oriented, and have excellent communication skills.

This position involves working within a multi-disciplined project team to deliver high-quality products that meet customer specifications. The successful candidate will be able to interface with customers and product marketing to help define product requirements.

In terms of education and qualifications, the Electronics Design Engineer must hold a degree in Electronic Engineering and have a minimum of 10 years' relevant experience.

  1. Main Responsibilities:
  2. Lead the design and development of ICs, focusing on RF/Microwave technology
  3. Design and lay out RF/Microwave ICs
  4. Assist in New Product Introduction
  5. Perform prototype and pre-production testing of RF & Microwave components
  6. Work within a multi-disciplined project team
  7. Interface with customers and product marketing to define product specifications
  1. Education and Skills Requirements:
  2. Cadence and ADS/AWR expertise
  3. Skilled understanding of RF concepts
  4. Design and layout of RF/Microwave ICs (SOI preferred)
  5. Experience in some of the following areas is desirable: RF/Microwave Switch, Amplifier, Attenuator, Phase Shifter, Filter
  6. Experience with EM simulation and RC extraction tools
  7. Good planning and organisational skills
  8. Deadline and detail oriented
  9. Good interpersonal and communications skills
  10. Ability to work well in a global team environment
  11. Some experience as a team-lead with desire for future management role
  12. Degree in Electronic Engineering plus a minimum of 10 years relevant experience
