Waterford Care Manager Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Person in Charge for residential disability services in Waterford. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about providing high-quality care and support to individuals with intellectual disabilities.

Our client provides community-based services for people with severe/profound intellectual disabilities, supporting children and adults with significant and complex additional needs. They cater for the abilities and specific needs of those they care for to ensure they receive the best possible service.

The ideal candidate would have experience working with autism and possess strong leadership skills, ensuring compliance with Department of Health Regulations and HIQA Standards. If you are a positive and communicative person who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of others, this is the right opportunity for you.

Requirements:

  • A professional degree (min level 7) in Social Care or relevant qualification
  • A minimum of 3 years in a management or supervisory role in the area of health or social care 
  • Level 6 Management qualification
  • A proven track record of managing a residential service which meets quality, regulatory/legislative requirements.
  • Experience of report writing, personal support plans, people and roster management.
  • Full current driving license with full eligibility to drive in Ireland, and access to a vehicle.
  • Experience working with individuals with ID or Autism is essential.
