The successful candidate will be responsible for driving individual streams of work, consulting with staff engineers, and coordinating with product managers and stakeholders to ensure that solutions are robust, scalable, and maintainable.

  • Developing key frontend and backend systems
  • Leading other software engineers while following solid engineering standards and mentoring them

This is a full-time position reporting to the Engineering Manager, Payments & Seller Regulatory.

What You'll Do
  1. Work collaboratively with multiple engineers at various levels to support onboarding about how Etsy designs and writes software
  2. Prioritize tasks and manage competing deadlines to meet project requirements
  3. Participate in code and design reviews to maintain high standards of code quality

You will be involved in the early scoping of complex new projects, adding nuance to complex product requirements to ensure issues are found early and often in the planning process.
