Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Search Quality Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing automated solutions to mitigate user trust risks in Search.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analysis, with experience working with large datasets and identifying trends and patterns. They should also have excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop domain knowledge in Search infrastructure, ranking signals, and products.
  • Design and implement prompt-based AI Raters that can evaluate content safety in Google Search.
  • Analyze complex patterns of badness and abuse on Google Search, utilizing data-driven insights to develop countermeasures and enhance platform security.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Product, Policy, and Legal teams to develop robust solutions that enhance search quality and user trust.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in data analysis, including identifying trends, generating summary statistics, and drawing insights from quantitative and qualitative data.
  • 5 years of experience managing projects and defining project scope, goals, and deliverables.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with using Python for data analysis and visualization.
  • Experience in prompt engineering and applying Large Language Models for data labeling.
  • Experience working on product analysis and identifying user harm risks.
  • Proven track record of designing sampling approaches and using statistical analysis for making product recommendations.
