Job Title: Programme Director

 

As a Programme Director, you will be responsible for managing daily functions of the contract to prioritise safety and maximise efficiency and commercial success. You will promote and ensure high standards of Health, Safety and Quality on site.

Your key responsibilities will include project planning and programming works, managing the project in line with programme and ensuring the project stays within budget. You will also be responsible for client and stakeholder management, as well as management of direct labour and plant resources, sub contractors and materials.

In addition, you will advise on commercial risks within the project, identify change and implement change control process and agreement. Finally, you will facilitate compiling the as-built drawings/sketches and safety file.

To be successful in this role, you will need at least 8 years' experience in project management in the civil or mechanical engineering sectors. Experience in water treatment and pipeline projects is preferable but not essential. You will also require a broad knowledge of public works contracts, excellent leadership and communication skills, good commercial and business acumen and IT literacy including use of Microsoft Project.

A third level qualification in a construction related discipline is also essential, as is a clean full Irish driving licence.

Key Requirements:

  • At least 8 years' experience in project management in the civil or mechanical engineering sectors.
  • Experience in water treatment and pipeline projects (preferable).
  • Broad knowledge of public works contracts.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Good commercial and business acumen and IT literacy including use of Microsoft Project.
