Data Centre SQL Specialist

The ideal candidate will have experience managing and executing multiple SQL Server upgrades as part of significant data centre migration projects. They will oversee the development of SQL Server instances across the global estate, ensuring compliance with best practices and security policies at all times.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing and executing multiple SQL Server upgrades
- Developing and maintaining database support utilities, scripts, and tools
- Maintaining essential SQL Server processes such as monitoring solutions, backup strategies, disaster recovery plans, and performance optimisation routines
- Providing responsive operational support for critical incidents involving SQL Servers
Required qualifications and skills include:
- Demonstrated experience executing complex SQL Server upgrades or migrations within enterprise environments
- Proven ability configuring and supporting SQL Server AlwaysOn availability groups for high-availability solutions
- Expertise in performance tuning techniques for SQL Server environments
This is a full-time role, specialising in technology, with a focus on databases. It's based in Dublin city centre, with a hybrid work arrangement. Experience level is mid-management. A comprehensive benefits package is included.
