Operations Excellence Manager

The Operations Excellence Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring seamless production schedules and guiding the activities of team members to adhere to operational, quality, and health & safety work instructions, procedures, and policies. This ensures the production of high-quality products in a timely, safe, efficient, and compliant manner.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and coordinate day-to-day operations shift team activities (including key support department team members) to meet production targets for customer delivery, product quality, and cost, while maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Drive continuous improvement and process reliability through the strategic application of lean tools.
  • Develop a high-performing flexible team that achieves exceptional results through coaching, mentoring, and effective performance management.
  • Plan all personnel, material, and machine resources to support weekly production schedules.
  • Ensure injection moulding, tool, and assembly changeover activities are completed as scheduled, with appropriate line clearance procedures to meet cGMP compliance.
  • Guarantee batches are manufactured within validated setup parameters at all times, providing quality samples for outgoing testing throughout the batch.
  • Lead area 5S programs to promptly address housekeeping, cGMP, and safety issues in a systematic manner, meeting company safety, environmental, and quality initiatives.
  • Ensure equipment and area cleaning, preventative maintenance, calibration schedules, inventory control, and barcoding systems adhere to cGMP requirements.
Requirements:
  • 3-5 years of experience in Injection Moulding/Automated assembly is essential.
  • Lean certifications (Green belt level) are desirable.
  • Experience in medical device injection moulding and assembly operations is highly desirable.
