Medical Device Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Medical Device Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in digital and low-noise analog circuit design, as well as proficiency in embedded systems development.

The selected candidate will be responsible for designing, building, and testing current and next-generation medical devices. They will also support validation, manufacturing, and product lifecycle activities, working closely with cross-functional teams.

The role requires a minimum of 3 years' experience in the medical device industry (or other highly regulated sectors) in a product development or manufacturing role. A degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering (or a related discipline) is essential.

The successful candidate will possess strong problem-solving skills, effective communication skills, and an understanding of quality systems and risk management practices. Experience working with PCB fabricators and assembly vendors, as well as familiarity with CAD tools and simulation software, is desirable.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, build, and test current and next-generation medical devices
  • Support validation, manufacturing, and product lifecycle activities
  • Participate in circuit prototyping and manage relationships with prototyping service providers
  • Contribute to validation testing, including EMC, wireless coexistence, safety, reliability, and performance
  • Facilitate design transfer by working closely with manufacturing and quality teams
  • Provide technical support to manufacturing to optimize production processes and ensure efficiency
  • Design, develop, and validate custom PCBA test equipment for internal product testing
  • Investigate hardware failures from the field and participate in root cause analysis and corrective actions
Requirements:
  • Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering (or a related discipline)
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in the medical device industry (or other highly regulated sectors) in a product development or manufacturing role

  • Proficiency in embedded systems development, including C/C++ programming and interfacing with microcontrollers

  • Effective communication and problem-solving skills
