We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Construction Cost Manager to join our client, a renowned Irish residential property development company.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing project costs, coordinating subcontractors, and controlling costs while ensuring efficient financial and contractual management of projects.

This role involves both site-based and head-office responsibilities, requiring strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Liaise with the design team to ensure timely information flow for tender preparation and subcontractor coordination.
  • Measure bills of quantities and prepare subcontract packages for tendering to subcontractors and material suppliers.
  • Review received tenders and participate in pre-award meetings.

The ideal candidate will have a degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or a related field, with 1-3 years of experience in a similar role within the construction industry.

They will possess strong numerical and analytical skills, knowledge of construction contracts, cost control, and procurement processes, as well as proficiency in relevant software such as Microsoft Excel, CostX, AutoCAD, or similar.

A proactive approach, excellent communication and negotiation skills, and the ability to work effectively in both site and office environments are essential for this role.

The successful candidate will maintain cost and contractual records per company systems and procedures, report to the Commercial Director at site management meetings, and provide direct updates as required.
