Store Assistant Position

We are seeking highly motivated and customer-focused individuals to join our team as Store Assistants.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service, greeting customers and assisting them in finding products and providing information about items.
  • Operate Point of Sale (POS) systems efficiently, handling cash and payments with accuracy.
  • Manage stock levels effectively, rotating and replenishing stock with minimal manual effort.
  • Ensure shelves are well-stocked and visually appealing, with clear signage and promotions.
  • Assist with deliveries, order picking, and stocktaking as required.
  • Promote sales, highlight special offers, and aid in meeting sales targets through effective merchandising and sales support.
  • Maintain a clean and organized store environment, adhering to hygiene policies and procedures.
  • Address customer complaints professionally, providing explanations and/or refunds when necessary.

Requirements:

  • Previous retail experience is highly advantageous, but not essential.
  • Open to training the right candidate.
  • Effective communication skills, with a welcoming manner to customers and colleagues.
  • Ability to work in a team environment with a strong team spirit.
  • Working knowledge of EPOS systems.
  • Compliance with company policies on cash handling and closing store procedures.

About the Job:

This is an immediate start opportunity for a full-time contract. The successful candidate will be available to work Monday through Friday 8am-8pm, with occasional Saturday work available. Flexibility is key, with a willingness to adapt to changing store needs.
