About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Centre Manager/Person in Charge to lead our day services team. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of delivering high-quality services, managing staff teams, and promoting social inclusion.
Key Responsibilities:- Service Development: Implement HSE New Directions Policy across Tralee day services through development of new opportunities as part of change management plan.
- Support Planning: Ensure delivery of assessed support needs for all people accessing Tralee Day Services.
- Staff Management: Lead recruitment and interview procedures of new employees, lead and support staff teams including staff supervision, rotas, team meetings, debriefing, and training.
- Training and Development: Ensure ongoing training and development of all staff in day service and provide training wherever suitable and relevant.
- Liaison and Communication: Liaise with management and staff to foster and develop consistent standard across all Tralee day service locations, ensure liaison between people supported, their network of support, family members, and other professionals where applicable.
- Service Provision: Ensure consistent planning and high standards of service provision for people supported, establish, maintain, and monitor standards of performance for all aspects of the service appointed.
- Risk Management: Manage risk in a systematic way that promotes dignity of risk while ensuring safety, welfare, and quality of life for those supported by the service.
- Compliance and Governance: Ensure compliance with Association policies and procedures, National legislation, and New Directions.
- Multi-Disciplinary Support: Coordinate multidisciplinary supports such as psychology, behaviour support, sensory integration, and ensure implementation of recommendations.
- Transportation: Manage smooth operation of transport for day services.
- Resource Management: Ensure appropriate resources are available for quality service provision.
- Communication and Engagement: Maintain regular communication with individual's family or network of support through formal and informal means, process and follow up on referrals to the service from HSE, other services, and families.
- Community Engagement: Engage with external stakeholders to promote and develop opportunities for people we support to engage in valued roles in their community.
