Key Responsibilities

The Role of a Social Care Worker and Assistant Support Worker is to provide care to people who avail of our service. This will include:

• Supporting people with their daily plan\
• Supporting people whilst in the community\
• Supporting people with their education, skills development and achieving personal outcomes\
• Supporting people with their living skills such as Cooking, Cleaning, Laundry, attending appointments, family visits etc.\
• Being familiar with and adhering to all Company policies and procedures, standards, regulations, and codes of practice in so far as is reasonable and practicable.\
• Shift work over 24 hours a day and 7 days a week\
• Assisting with daily routines, meal preparation, and household tasks\
• Maintaining accurate records and reports\
• Collaborating with colleagues to ensure seamless service delivery\
• Providing emotional support and companionship to Service Users\
• Engaging in ongoing professional development to enhance skills and knowledge\
• Fulfilling administrative duties as required\
• Representing the organisation in a professional manner at all times\
• Participating in quality improvement initiatives\
• Meeting productivity and performance targets\
• Contributing to a positive and respectful team culture\
• Complying with data protection and confidentiality policies\
• Performing other related duties as assigned by management\

  • Requirements:\
  • A level 7/8 degree in Social Care/Healthcare or related discipline (Must be registered with CORU)\
  • Good attitude to work and passionate about supporting people\
  • Full Driver’s Licence required or in the process of achieving a Full Driver’s Licence\
  • Relevant life experience would be desirable but not essential\
  • No qualification required for Assistant Support Workers (All necessary training provided)\
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills\
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment\
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills\
  • Demonstrated empathy and understanding of diverse perspectives\
  • Capacity to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information\
  • Physical ability to perform tasks associated with caregiving\
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances\
  • Proactive approach to learning and development\
