Role Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Principal Electrical Engineer to develop innovative electrical design solutions for data center projects.

  • Deliver high-quality technical work, contributing to bids and interfacing with clients and collaborators in design and planning.
  • Liaise with other disciplines, providing expert guidance on electrical plant selection and specifications.

The successful candidate will have 8+ years of experience as a principal engineer, covering duties such as producing feasibility studies, outline design, detailed design and construction support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Produce design drawings, electrical plant selection and specifications.
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the team.
  • Liaise with power utility companies and manage power supply upgrades.

Requirements:

  • Detailed electrical design experience (LV, MV, HV) in data center/building services environment.
  • Design experience to include SLD (topology), coordination studies, electrical services design.
  • Sound knowledge of key Health and Safety issues and legislation.
  • Ability to prioritize own workload and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Managerial skills, including leadership and delegation.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Background in consulting or construction preferred.
