Electrical Engineer Position

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team.

  • This role involves working as part of a multidiscipline team on industrial projects, designing electrical services packages in AutoCAD and Revit.
  • Under the direction of the principal engineer, develop specifications, scope of works documents, tender packs, cable calculations, wiring diagrams, schematics, loop sheets, and other electrical deliverables.
  • Design MV and LV electrical systems, including MCCs, distribution boards, cable systems, lighting, and emergency lighting.
  • Participate in constructability and safety reviews.
  • Design life safety systems, including fire alarm and security systems.
  • Assist in tender bid analysis and undertake peer reviews as part of our quality control process.
  • Attend client and project meetings and participate in site visits to survey, monitor, review, and sign-off electrical installations.
Requirements:

Third-level degree in Electrical Engineering with 5+ years of experience in industrial engineering design. Data centre experience is preferable but not essential.

  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD and BIM/Revit software.
  • Familiarity with SKM (PTW) electrical design software.
  • Proficiency in MS Word and Excel.
  • Proven experience in electrical engineering design services, including power distribution, generators, UPS systems, lighting, emergency lighting, vertical transportation, small power, voice/data, cable containment, fire alarm, security, lightning protection, earthing and bonding, hazardous areas, and specialist control systems.
  • Knowledge and experience of applicable electrical engineering codes and standards.
  • Experience in developing electrical protection systems, electrical discrimination, short circuit studies, and arc-flash analysis reports.
  • The ability to find alternate solutions and implement new technologies where required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
  • A strong approach to safety, quality, and environmental protection.
