Job Title: Advanced Technologies R&D Manager
Role Summary:This is a challenging opportunity for an experienced professional to lead the development of advanced technologies in the medical device industry.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical leadership in prototyping, early process development, and test lab operations. They will play a key role in designing and developing technologies that will drive innovation in the field of neurovascular care.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead prototype and lab engineers/technicians in equipment commissioning, validation, maintenance, calibration, and process development studies.
- Manage technical project resources, set goals, conduct performance reviews, and support professional development.
- Provide leadership to R&D teams in process development, prototype building and testing, data analysis, component and device specifications, materials selection, and process optimization.
- Ensure test labs comply with GxP standards regarding equipment, fixtures, and operations.
- Assess current and emerging process technologies for application in developing interventional medical devices, such as catheters and delivery systems.
- Qualification in Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering or equivalent.
- Experience in manufacturing and process development.
- Project management qualification is advantageous.
- Extensive experience in the interventional medical device industry, including technical leadership and product development.
