Role Summary

The primary objective of a Clinical/Educational Psychologist in an Autism Assessment setting is to perform comprehensive evaluations, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and provide tailored recommendations to support children and their families.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting thorough autism assessments to identify developmental disorders
  • Performing diagnostic evaluations to diagnose Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
  • Collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure a holistic approach
  • Providing personalized recommendations to support children and their families

Qualifications Required:

  • A Masters degree in Clinical/Educational Psychology recognized by the Psychological Society of Ireland or equivalent
  • Accreditation with either PSI, BPS, or other recognized post-qualification accreditation
  • Significant experience and specialization in Autism assessment and diagnosis
  • Proficiency in administering and interpreting standardized assessment tools commonly used in autism diagnosis

Essential Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong clinical skills, including diagnostic assessment, case conceptualization, and treatment planning
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with clients, families, and multidisciplinary teams
