As a Senior Pre-Construction Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving the construction of Amazon owned sites. Our Data Centers are industry leading examples of innovation, and we are seeking an expert to lead our EMEA Data Center Construction team.
Job DescriptionYour primary responsibility will be to serve as the primary liaison between Real Estate, Design Engineering, Construction, and other critical partner teams during initial planning, conceptual design, and design development. You will provide cost, schedule, and constructability guidance to ensure the successful execution of projects.
You will be responsible for developing and implementing design standards across regional construction programs and creating high-quality, consistent documentation for processes, standards, and procedures. This includes working closely with cross-functional teams to drive significant communication across departments and stakeholders.
You will also be expected to leverage your experience and tools to understand where gaps exist in project plans and propose solutions. Additionally, you will be responsible for negotiating terms of contracts with developers, contractors, and consultants representing AWS' interests.
Required Skills and Qualifications- Professional fluency in Arabic, German + English
- Extensive experience in mission-critical facilities (design, pre-construction, scheduling, construction, and commissioning), or equivalent.
- Knowledge of civil, electric, and mechanical engineering principles.
- Knowledge of critical data center equipment.
- Ability to travel ~40% of your time.
