Accounting Assistant Role

We are seeking a skilled accounting professional to join our team.

About the Position

This is an exciting opportunity for a talented Accounts Assistant with expertise in financial responsibilities including:

  • Posting weekly accounts journals
  • Measuring and analysing production KPIs
  • Running ERP general queries
  • Raising purchase orders
  • Completing weekly accruals reconciliations

The successful candidate will take ownership of key responsibilities while contributing to a collaborative, high-performing team.

Key Responsibilities

The Accounting Assistant will be responsible for:

  • Measure and analyse production KPIs
  • Attend and contribute to daily production meetings
  • Run ERP general queries and tasks
  • Provide production system support and review
  • Conduct margin analysis and implement margin controls
  • Analyse material usage variances
  • Update financial reporting system data
  • Post weekly accounts journals
  • Complete weekly accruals reconciliation
  • Perform monthly accounts reconciliations
  • Raise purchase orders (POs)
  • Maintain stock control and perform stock reconciliations
  • Provide additional analysis, reporting, and process improvement support as required
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 2-6 years of relevant accounting experience
  • PQ Accountant or Newly qualified accountant an advantage
  • Strong excel and ERP skills
  • Relevant experience in a broad accounting role
  • Experience working in a busy fast-paced environment

Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport are essential.
