The Quality Assurance Technician plays a pivotal role in ensuring the safety, quality, and compliance of finished products within a manufacturing facility.
Key responsibilities include working with operations and maintenance teams to implement HACCP standards and procedures, ensuring finished product meets specifications, maintaining accurate records, and adhering to plant hygiene requirements.
Additional duties involve cleaning the plant to correct standard, dealing with non-conformances, training production personnel on CCPs and quality procedures, and supporting site during audits and customer complaints.
Requirements for this position include a certificate or degree in Food Science or related discipline, HACCP training, and 6-12 months experience in Technical or Quality Assurance role. A working knowledge of BRC and retail standards is also desirable.
