Senior Billing Specialist Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Billing Specialist to support our Project Managers' billing needs on multi-million-dollar projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare billings for several Project Managers and prepare required documentation; 2nd and 3rd tier lien waivers, MBE/WBE reporting.
  • Perform T&M billing tasks; monitor incoming work orders, verify job costs on work, ensure labor rates and rental rates and markups are accurate.
  • Adjust billings/receivables as directed by Controller or Project Manager.
  • Review customer contracts for billing requirements (forms, due dates, rates, etc.), submit billings to customers based on specific requirements, including use of customer portals.
  • Set up and maintain job information in Vista, including phase codes, cost estimates, billing templates, contracts, change orders, and job closings; managing the job billing cycle from start to finish.
  • Develop and maintain a schedule to keep billings and accounts receivable current.
  • Prepare/process job cost adjustments as directed by Project Manager or Controller.
  • Assist Controller with monitoring under billed jobs.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 5 years in a billing position.
  • Construction industry accounting experience required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Vista (formerly Viewpoint) experience a plus.
