
Production Engineering Specialist

The Engineering Associate will join our Operations & Supply Chain team as a key member in our Ballyragget facility. This role reports to the Senior Project Engineer and is an exciting opportunity for a graduate to grow in their engineering career.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement best practice of safe systems in production environments.
- Solve problems and drive continuous improvement: Work as part of a broader production/process team, employing lean/6 sigma techniques through our enterprise excellence platform.
- Coordinate utility plant requirements with maintenance and engineering teams.
- Analyze plant performance data to evaluate effectiveness of maintenance and calibration systems, enabling continuous improvement on key metrics.
- Apply sound technical solutions to resolve problems relating to plant efficiencies and drive continuous improvement; support and maintain preventive maintenance and predictive maintenance programs; deliver planned maintenance schedules in line with production requirements.
- Work with the quality department to ensure product compliance with HACCP standards; maintain plant procedures, documentation, and cleanliness to meet audit-ready standards 365 days a year.
- Collaborate with engineering, leadership, and stakeholders to input into project scoping, design, installation, and commissioning.
- Manage individual engineering-related projects, working internally and externally contracted colleagues.
Requirements:
- High academic achievement in fields like Mechanical, Automation, Process, Chemical, Electrical, Environmental Engineering or related disciplines; minimum of a 2.2 honours primary degree expected.
