Production Operations Manager Opportunity

This role is responsible for overseeing day-to-day production activities in a fast-paced environment with a focus on maintaining high-quality standards and adhering to strict safety protocols. The ideal candidate will have experience in food production, strong leadership skills, and proficiency in BRC (British Retail Consortium) standards.

  • Manage production staff to ensure smooth operations and meet production targets while maintaining quality standards.
  • Develop and manage staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage during all shifts.
  • Ensure compliance with BRC Global Food Safety Standards and monitor the implementation of food safety and hygiene protocols.
  • Conduct regular training sessions for staff on food safety procedures, equipment use, and company policies.
  • Address staff-related issues, including performance management and conflict resolution, to maintain a positive work environment.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the production area to ensure all equipment and facilities are functioning properly.
  • Maintain accurate production records, including staff attendance, production quantities, and quality checks.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and manage production staff to ensure efficient operations.
  • Develop and manage staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage during all shifts.
  • Ensure production targets and deadlines are met while maintaining quality standards.
  • Monitor and enforce compliance with BRC Global Food Safety Standards.
Qualifications:
  • Previous experience as a production supervisor or in a similar leadership role within the food industry.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and BRC standards.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage a team, with strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage staff schedules and production timelines.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
