About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Mental Health Specialist Nurse to join our team in Ireland's new specialist mental health service.

This position involves providing care and treatment for adults aged 18-65 with mental disorders, working as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Main Responsibilities:

  • To work closely with colleagues to deliver high-quality services, maintaining up-to-date professional portfolios and individual care plans.
  • To adhere to local safety protocols, risk assessments, and standard operating procedures.
  • To use company IT systems effectively, ensuring confidentiality at all times.
  • To report concerns regarding patient safety and act responsibly.
  • Maintain infection control standards and contribute to the delivery of effective frontline care.
  • Support health assessments, medication planning, and individual personal plans.
  • Communicate effectively with the multi-disciplinary team and promote good relationships with primary healthcare services.
  • Maintain confidentiality and promote person-centred planning using key worker systems.
  • Assist in compiling and presenting reports as required.

Skill Requirements:

  • Registered on the Psychiatric Division of the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).
  • Excellent knowledge of Medication Management.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Understanding of individual needs and ability to work under pressure.
  • Experience in supporting individuals in a supportive role.
  • Ability to work on own initiative and willingness to learn.
  • Good organisational and IT skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to plan time effectively.
