Job Summary

The Process Technician role is focused on optimizing production through the development and validation of CNC part programs.

  • Create and validate CNC programs for lathes and mills, ensuring precision and efficiency.
  • Adjust G Code to meet drawing specifications, driving accuracy and quality.
  • Support tooling, jigs, and fixtures development, enhancing process reliability.
  • Validate every job, checking CAD drawings, specs, and customer requirements for compliance.
  • Work with AutoCAD and CAD software to design and validate processes.
  • Troubleshoot production issues, implementing corrective actions to maintain productivity.
  • Train operators and line leads on process improvements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Purchasing, Quality, and Manufacturing.
  • Prepare technical documentation, including BOMs and routings.

Requirements:

  • 2–5 years' experience in a CNC/machine shop environment.
  • Strong hands-on CNC machining experience (lathes and/or mills).
  • Exposure to G Code editing/cutting experience.
  • Background as a technician or lead CNC operator with workshop experience.
  • Comfortable in both workshop and office/desk-based tasks.
  • Proficiency in 2D/3D CAD, ideally AutoCAD.
  • Understanding of engineering standards and manufacturing methods.
  • MS Office skills, especially Excel.
