Job Description

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for providing financial support and analysis to senior managers and budget holders. They will work closely with stakeholders to develop business cases and costings to support service and project planning.
  • They will monitor budgets, analyse variances and implement corrective actions. The ideal candidate will also contribute to financial reporting, planning and capital programme monitoring.
  • Financial risk management and supporting internal/external audit processes are key aspects of this role. Delivering financial training, tools and information to improve budget management is also an essential responsibility.

Requirements

  • A qualified accountant from a professional body is required. Experience in financial management, particularly budgetary control and preparation of management accounting reports is essential.
  • The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills and a passion for driving service improvement. They must be able to play a key part in supporting senior leaders with expert financial advice and helping to shape effective financial management across the organisation.
