Job Description

The successful Management Accountant plays a pivotal role in driving strategic decision-making across the organisation by providing insightful financial advice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Production of monthly commercial management accounts, ensuring timely and accurate delivery to stakeholders.
  • Completion of balance sheet reconciliations, verifying the accuracy of financial records.
  • Monthly reconciliation of group bank accounts, ensuring seamless financial operations.
  • Review of nominal ledger to ensure accuracy of postings in line with agreed processes and procedures, promoting efficient financial management.
  • Creation and processing of weekly financial reports across commercial areas, facilitating data-driven decision-making.
  • Support Head of HR with monthly payroll, ensuring accurate and timely payment processing.
  • Contribute to annual external audit process, including preparation of annual statutory accounts, maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in review and development of internal financial control processes, enhancing organisational resilience and efficiency.
Requirements
  • Qualified or part-qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) or equivalent, with minimum 5 years relevant accounting experience.
  • Previous experience in management accounting, budgeting, variance analysis, business partnering and continuous improvement, with a focus on delivering exceptional results.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly MS Excel, with ability to leverage its features to drive financial insights.
  • Excellent organisational skills, strong attention to detail, and ability to prioritise varied workload effectively and efficiently, while maintaining high levels of productivity.
