Job Opportunity:

We are currently seeking a seasoned professional to fill the role of Associate Director within our sustainable infrastructure team.

This position presents an excellent opportunity for someone looking to expand their expertise and broaden their professional experience, working on a diverse range of projects including national road schemes, greenway and active travel initiatives.

The Associate Director will be responsible for leading multidisciplinary design teams, managing project portfolios, mentoring junior project managers and overseeing design work. Key responsibilities include ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and to quality standards, as well as maintaining strong client relationships and communicating effectively across assigned projects.

  • Leading multidisciplinary design teams to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Managing project portfolios and fostering strong client relationships.
  • Mentoring and managing more junior project managers within the Highways and Active Travel Sector.

Key requirements for this position include:

  • A degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline, with Chartered Engineer status.
  • A minimum of 15 years post-graduate experience in the design and project management of highways, greenway and active travel schemes.
  • Proven track record in managing multi-disciplinary design teams, developing and managing project budgets, and liaising with clients, external stakeholders and sub-consultants.
