Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with both personal and practical care, promoting independence and social involvement.
  • Ensure dignity, privacy, and independence is maintained and respected.
  • Report any issues to your manager or supervisor.

Required Competencies and Qualifications
  • Compassion, patience, and empathy are essential for this role.
  • Dependable and attentive individuals with a strong commitment to providing high levels of care.
  • Great communication skills, both written and verbal, are necessary for success in this position.
  • Ability to work independently, use initiative, and be mindful of health and safety policies at all times.
  • Related experience providing care is highly desirable.
  • Completion of 2 QQI level 5 Healthcare modules – Care Skills and Care of the Elderly is a requirement.
  • Up-to-date patient moving & handling certificate (or training provided).
  • International Police Clearance (where applicable).
