Leading Process Development Scientist

As a senior chemist, you will play a key role in the development of new and existing chemical processes for Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs) and Chemical Intermediates.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead project development in the laboratory, including route scouting and optimization, proof of concept, crystallisation optimisation, and process safety assessment.
  • Provide technical support to API manufacture, with a focus on improvement and investigation support.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance processes, considering scale-up and manufacturing aspects and Critical to Quality Attributes.
  • Collaborate with analytical chemists and Operations engineers on new products introduction and scale up activities, including process development in the laboratory, customer engagement, troubleshooting, documentation, and campaign readiness.

This role requires strong knowledge of synthetic organic chemistry principles and expertise in developing efficient chemical processes.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry
  • Experience in chemical process development and scale-up
  • Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical industry regulations and guidelines
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
