Key Roles of an Experienced Accountant

We are currently seeking a skilled and highly motivated Experienced Accountant to play a key part in our day-to-day financial operations.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for:

  • Preparing accurate year-end company accounts and working papers up to review stage, ensuring compliance with relevant guidelines.
  • Reconciling balance sheet items, including VAT, payroll, leases, hire purchases, and fixed assets, to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
  • Applying sound knowledge of accounting principles to post journals onto accounting software accurately and efficiently.
  • Assisting in the preparation of management accounts, providing valuable insights into business performance.
  • Preparing statutory financial statements, adhering to deadlines, checklists, and procedural requirements.
  • Supporting year-end close processes, including the preparation of year-end journals, to ensure a seamless transition into the new fiscal year.
  • Assisting in the preparation of Corporation Tax returns, ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations.

The successful candidate will possess:

  • Part-qualified ACA/ACCA accountant qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 2+ years of general accounting practice experience, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality results.
  • Results-driven with strong technical abilities and financial acumen, coupled with excellent communication skills and a focus on customer care.
  • Highly organized with excellent planning abilities, proficient in both written and spoken English.
