About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Inclusive Technology Specialist to join our team. This role involves overseeing the creation, implementation, and evaluation phases of our National Assistive Technology Training Service See Hear Play Project.

The successful candidate will collaborate with our AT Training Service, third-party technology consultants, and participating schools to deliver a seamless user experience. They will also be responsible for recording and documenting the project's progress, providing valuable insights to inform future initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Consult on the selection of project equipment.
  • User testing of all project hardware and software.
  • Assist in the development of support documentation and media.
  • Develop lesson plans aligned with Primary School Curriculum Arts Education Music strands.
  • Develop teacher training materials (including video resources).
  • Act as first point of contact for participating schools.
  • Provide in-person training and support to participating schools.
  • Demonstrate the potential of technologies to offer inclusive creative expression to students.
  • Provide ongoing remote support and training via Microsoft Teams.
  • Facilitate an online professional learning community for participating teachers.
  • Act as a liaison for technical support.
  • Gather feedback from participating teachers and students.
  • Work with our AT Training Service to develop training materials based on learning from the project.
