Leisure Centre Manager Role

The hotel's leisure centre is a 4-star facility offering top-class amenities and services to guests and members. Our goal is to provide an exceptional wellness experience that exceeds expectations.

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Leisure Centre Manager to lead our team in delivering outstanding customer service, managing day-to-day operations, and ensuring the smooth running of the facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the daily operation of the leisure centre, including supervising staff and monitoring facilities.
  • Lead by example in delivering exceptional customer service to hotel guests and members.
  • Supervise and support staff, including lifeguards, fitness instructors, and receptionists.
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety, hygiene, and pool plant procedures in line with Irish legislation and industry standards.
  • Contribute to staff training, rotas, performance reviews, and development.
  • Assist in managing memberships, including sales, renewals, and member engagement.
  • Oversee cleanliness, maintenance, and presentation of the leisure centre, including the swimming pool, gym, and changing areas.
  • Support the planning and promotion of fitness classes, wellness programmes, and special events.
  • Monitor and report on facility usage, customer feedback, and operational performance.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a supervisory or management role within a leisure, fitness, or hospitality environment.
  • Possession of relevant qualifications, such as a Pool Lifeguard qualification (e.g., RLSS) and First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Strong knowledge of health & safety and swimming pool operations in line with Irish standards.
  • Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and organisational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and leisure management systems.
  • A passion for health, fitness, and wellness.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
