Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to join our team in a pivotal role that oversees the management of specific product categories.

As a key member of the trading department, you will play a crucial part in driving sales performance, optimizing margin and inventory levels, and developing strong relationships with suppliers.

You will be responsible for negotiating and managing supplier contracts, ensuring sound commercial practices and favourable terms through effective joint business planning and long-term agreement negotiations.

Additionally, you will scout and source innovative products, manage the product lifecycle from conceptualization to execution, and stay abreast of market trends to maintain a competitive edge.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage full category management for designated product areas
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers
  • Negotiate and manage supplier contracts
  • Source innovative products and manage the product lifecycle
  • Stay up-to-date on market trends and competitor analysis

Requirements:

  • 3+ year's experience in buying with demonstrable track record in category management and strategic sourcing
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
  • Exceptional negotiation and vendor management skills
  • Demonstrable track record in category management and strategic sourcing
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
