Senior Automation & Digital Systems Lead

Our client seeks an experienced Senior Automation and Digital Systems Professional to manage, coordinate, and support the technical team responsible for delivering digital systems.

  • This role is critical in overseeing the deployment and integration of digital systems, including software applications, control systems, and data platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Act as the central point of contact for all digital systems-related technical activities, coordinating between different workstreams.
  2. Plan, coordinate, and oversee the deployment and integration of digital systems, ensuring seamless operation and optimal performance.
  3. Provide expert-level troubleshooting and technical support for digital systems issues, ensuring minimal downtime.
  4. Manage routine maintenance, updates, and upgrades of digital systems to ensure security, compliance, and functionality.
  5. Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including system configurations, procedures, and user manuals.
  6. Deliver training sessions and support materials to end-users and technical staff to maximise system utilisation and efficiency.
  7. Ensure digital systems comply with organisational policies, industry standards, and cybersecurity best practices.
  8. Liaise with software vendors, service providers, and contractors to coordinate support, licensing, and service agreements.
  9. Identify opportunities to enhance digital systems capabilities, streamline processes, and reduce costs.
  10. Ensure Automation compliance with Global Policies, Procedures, and Guidelines, regulatory requirements, and execute current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) in the performance of day-to-day activities.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • Experience working on ABB DCS, PLC systems, Delta V, MES, PI, I&C, ICT, etc, preferably in API Manufacturing.
  • Working knowledge of Project Planning tools such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, MS planner online.
  • Relevant Project Manager or Project Engineer experience.
  • Proficiency with relevant digital tools and platforms specific to the industry (e.g., SCADA, MES, ERP, cloud services).
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, ITIL, cybersecurity certifications) are a plus.
