Job Title: Production Process Engineer

  • We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced production process engineer to join our team in Ireland.

About the Role:

  • This role involves developing effective manufacturing processes by evaluating product requirements, determining manufacturability, and designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment.

  • The successful candidate will have strong analytical, trouble-shooting, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to read blueprints and wiring diagrams/schematics.

  • They will also be able to effectively collaborate with production associates, maintenance staff, and outside contractors to improve equipment care, services, repairs, and work practice.

  • A bachelor's degree in engineering is required, along with a minimum of three years' experience in manufacturing engineering or mechanical engineering within a manufacturing facility.

  • The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated, self-starter who is able to succeed with little supervision.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential for this role, as is excellent interpersonal skill including the ability to effectively work as part of a cross-functional team.

  • The selected candidate must be authorized to work in Ireland without employer sponsorship.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing and implementing manufacturing processes that meet product requirements and ensure high-quality output.

  • Collaborating with production associates and maintenance staff to identify and resolve process operating problems and improve equipment performance.

  • Drafting follow-up action reports and sharing technical assistance with workers on the floor.

  • Conducting root cause analysis of quality issues during the manufacturing process and implementing corrective actions.

  • Participating in and/or leading Kaizen events to improve manufacturing processes and implement Lean techniques.

  • Coordinating with operations and management personnel to develop a shared vision for daily tasks and reporting on activities.

  • Maintaining accurate records of manufacturing data and providing regular updates to stakeholders.

  • Identifying new and creative solutions to complex issues during the manufacturing process.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering required.

  • Minimum of three years' experience in manufacturing engineering or mechanical engineering within a manufacturing facility.

  • Ability to read blueprints and wiring diagrams/schematics.

  • Strong analytical, trouble-shooting, and problem-solving skills.

  • Highly motivated, self-starter able to succeed with little supervision.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills including ability to effectively work as part of a cross-functional team.

  • Authorized to work in Ireland without employer sponsorship.
