Clinical Psychologist - Children's Team

This is an exciting opportunity to join a friendly, well established interdisciplinary team that place children and families at the heart of everything they do.

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our Children's Disability Network Team.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out comprehensive psychological assessments and developing tailored intervention plans. They will also deliver evidence-based therapies for children with neurodevelopmental conditions including Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, intellectual disabilities, and sensory or emotional needs.

The role involves contributing to Individual Family Support Plans (IFSPs) and providing guidance to families. Additionally, the successful candidate will offer psychoeducation, counselling, and care planning to empower caregivers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and develop tailored intervention plans.
  • Deliver evidence-based therapies for children with neurodevelopmental conditions.
  • Contribute to IFSPs and provide guidance to families.
  • Offer psychoeducation, counselling, and care planning to empower caregivers.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

We are looking for a Doctorate qualified Clinical/Counselling/Educational Psychologist with experience working with children and young people with complex needs. The successful candidate must have strong skills in psychological assessment, intervention planning, and family support. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities are essential.

The ideal candidate will be eligible for registration with the Psychological Society of Ireland and have experience working in a multidisciplinary team environment.
