Job Title: Clinical Psychologist – Children's Disability Network Teams

This is an exciting opportunity to join a multidisciplinary team that focuses on delivering holistic care for children and families with complex needs.

We are seeking a Clinical Psychologist to work in our Children's Disability Network Team in Athlone, covering Athlone, Moate & Ferbane.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out comprehensive psychological assessments and develop tailored intervention plans for children aged 0-18 with a range of developmental needs.
  • Deliver evidence-based therapies for children with neurodevelopmental conditions including Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, intellectual disabilities, and sensory or emotional needs.
  • Contribute to Individual Family Support Plans (IFSPs) and provide guidance to families.
  • Offer psychoeducation, counselling, and care planning to empower caregivers.
  • Maintain high-quality documentation in line with professional standards.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Doctorate or equivalent in Clinical/Counselling/Educational Psychology and/or Chartered Clinical/Counselling/Educational Psychologist through PSI.
  • Eligibility for registration with the Psychological Society of Ireland.
  • Experience working with children and young people with complex needs.
  • Strong skills in psychological assessment, intervention planning, and family support.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
