National Bioinformatics Director

Drive innovation in bioinformatics and genetics by leading a strategic implementation of the National Strategy for Accelerating Genetic and Genomic Medicine.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert leadership and direction to successfully implement national strategy initiatives
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to advance national genetics and genomics clinical services
  • Develop and enhance a strong genetics and genomics workforce for the future
  • Optimize infrastructure to drive advances in genetics and genomics

Requirements:

  • PhD in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology or Genomics
  • At least 7 years of post-qualification full-time experience in laboratory/clinical bioinformatics
  • Senior management experience in a clinical diagnostic laboratory or clinical bioinformatics
  • Strategic leadership experience in genetic and genomic bioinformatics services
