About the Director of Finance Role

The Director of Finance is a key member of the Executive Management Team and has overall responsibility for the leadership and development of the finance functions of the organisation.

This includes the production of the annual finance budget, management of cash flow, and production of management information for the CEO, the Executive Management Team, the Audit and Finance Committee, and the Health Service Executive (HSE).

The Director of Finance works closely with the CEO by contributing to the development of the organisation's strategy across all areas, challenging assumptions, and decision-making as appropriate, and providing financial analysis and guidance on all activities, plans, targets, and business drivers.

Responsibilities
  • Produce the annual finance budget
  • Manage cash flow
  • Provide management information to stakeholders
  • Contribute to organisational strategy development
  • Challenging assumptions and making informed decisions
